‘관광(tourism, 觀光)’이란 무엇인가?

모두 관광 형태를 의미하는 단어들이다.

관광이란 무엇인가?
서양에서는 다음과 같이 관광을 정의한다.
“Tourism, the act and process of spending time away from home in pursuit of recreation, relaxation, and pleasure, while making use of the commercial provision of services. As such, tourism is a product of modern social arrangements, beginning in western Europe in the 17th century.”
“관광은 상업적으로 제공되는 서비스를 이용하면서 레크리에이션, 휴식 및 즐거움을 추구하기 위해 집을 떠나 시간을 보내는 행위 및 과정인데, 17세기 서유럽에서 시작된 근대적 사회 제도의 산물이다.”
