Moliere is a French playwright, actor and poet. Widely regarded as one of the greatest writers of French and universal literature, his extant works include comedy, comedy, tragedy, and comedy ballet. This book is one of Moliere's comedies, Les Amants magnificents, The Magnificent Lovers, a comedy erotica and comedy ballet in five acts in prose.

ÀÌ ¿¬±ØÀÇ ÁÖÁ¦´Â ·çÀÌ 14¼¼¿¡ ÀÇÇØ Âø¾ÈµÇ¾úÁ³´Ù. 1670³â 2¿ù 4ÀÏ Saint-Germain-en-Laye¿¡¼­ ±× ¾Õ¿¡¼­ °ø¿¬µÇ¾úÁö¸¸ Æĸ®¿¡¼­´Â ÇÑ ¹øµµ °ø¿¬µÇÁö ¾Ê¾ÒÀ¸¸ç Moliere°¡ Á×Àº ÈÄ¿¡ Ãâ°£µÇ¾ú´Ù.

The theme of this play was conceived by Louis XIV. It was performed before him at Saint-Germain-en-Laye on February 4, 1670, but was never performed in Paris and was published after Moliere's death.
