학생들이 어떻게 하면 수학을 쉽게 할 수 있고 즐길 수 있을까?

Problem-solving에는 여러 가지 방식이 존재하지만, Standardized Test Prep을 위한 문제풀이, 그리고 Middle School and High School 때 배우는 수학은 분명 제일 쉽고 정확한 방식(One Best Way To Solve)이 있을 것이라는 생각이 나의 철학이다.

좋은 수학 교사는 개념을 가르치는 것을 넘어서, 최적의 문제풀이법(Problem Solving Methods)을 알려주어야 하고, Algebra 2에서 배웠던 개념이 Pre-calculus에서도 똑같이 적용되어야 한다고 생각한다.

Mathematics는 STEM 분야에서 기본적인 언어일 뿐이다. STEM 분야의 전공들이 점점 더 많아지는 시대에 Mathematics는 잘하는 친구들만 제대로 배워야 하는 과목이 아니라, 이제는 잘하지 않아도 잘 배워야 하는 과목이 되었다.

Digital SAT Math Section은 오답이 하나도 없어야 만점이 가능한 시험이기에, 우선 학생들이 왜 오답을 내는지, 어떤 문제에서 주로 오답을 내는지 분석해야 한다.
이 책은 10년 이상 수학교육의 길을 걸으면서 American Mathematics Series의 각 과목의 문제풀이법, ACT Math, Digital SAT Math의 문제풀이법에 대해 확실한 해답을 제시한다.
