평생 영어를 공부해 온 영어학도요 영어 교사로서, 제가 지금까지 봐온 가장 훌륭한 영어회화 교재는 초등영어 교과서였습니다. 문장들이 문법이라는 딱딱한 규칙을 과감하게 벗어나 실제로 쓰이고 있는 표현들을 담았으며, 발음 또한 원어민들이 쓰는 발음 그대로 실려 있었습니다.

이 책은 초등영어 교과서에서 문장들을 가져와 초등학교 과정에 나오는 모든 표현들을 실었습니다. 그리고 실제로 미국인들이 하는 발음을 [ ] 속에 한글로 표기하였습니다. 그뿐 아니라 원어민 발음의 원리와 실제 발음들을 풍부하게 실었으며, 어휘나 문법에 대하여도 충분한 설명을 곁들였습니다. 그리고 초등영어로 모두 채워지지 않는 dialogue들은 쉬운 미국 관용표현들도 더러 실었습니다.

또한 본문은 10P 크기의 청색 글씨로, 보충설명은 8~9P 크기의 흑색, 적색 및 녹색 글씨로 표기하였습니다.

아무쪼록 이 책을 통하여 최소의 노력으로 일상생활에 필요한 영어회화 표현들은 물론, 정확한 발음과 문법까지 쉽게 습득하시기 바랍니다.
