Theft: A Play in Four Acts, a play by Jack London first published in 1910, is a social drama exploring themes of poverty, crime, and redemption.
The play tells the story of a young man named Jim who is forced to steal to support his family. He is eventually caught and put in prison, but eventually finds redemption through his diligence and self-sacrifice.
Theft was not a commercial success when first produced, but has since been rediscovered by scholars and critics. It is now considered one of the most important plays in London and is frequently performed in schools and theatres.
