Summary
The story is set on a planet where the dominant life form is Mokrin. Moclin are very intelligent and industrious tree-like creatures. Although they have developed a thriving civilization, they are very isolated from the rest of the galaxy.
One day, a human spaceship arrives on Earth. Humans are looking for new sources of raw materials and are impressed by Moklin's technology. Humans and Mokrin agree to trade, and humans begin to import Mokrin products...
But humans soon begin to exploit the Moklin, and they take advantage of the Moklin's lack of knowledge of the wider galaxy to force them to work in dangerous and unhealthy environments... .
