머레이 레인스터(Murray Leinster)의 SF 단편 소설 제3의 행성(Third Planet)으로 이 책은 Worlds of Tomorrow 잡지 1960년 4월호에 처음 게재되었다.

Summary
Scientists are initially excited about their mission, but they soon realize that the third planet is not what they expected. This planet is inhabited by an alien race very different from humans.
The aliens are called Coms and are a peaceful and intelligent race. However, they have different ways of thinking and different values from humans.
Scientists must learn to live with Com and find ways to coexist with them...
