Murray Leinster's science fiction short story Third Planet was first published in the April 1960 issue of Worlds of Tomorrow magazine.
This story is about a group of scientists sent to a planet called Planet 3. The story explores the difficulties of alien contact and raises the question of whether humans and aliens can truly understand each other.

Summary
Scientists are initially excited about their mission, but they soon realize that the third planet is not what they expected. This planet is inhabited by an alien race very different from humans.
The aliens are called Coms and are a peaceful and intelligent race. However, they have different ways of thinking and different values from humans.
Scientists must learn to live with Com and find ways to coexist with them...
