"Marriage" is a short story written by Henry James and published in 1891. Like many of James' works, this one deals with the complexities of relationships, social norms, and the psychological complexities of the characters.
As the story unfolds, James masterfully depicts the tension between personal desires, family loyalty, and societal expectations. The narrative addresses themes of jealousy, the meaning of social class, and the complexities of family relationships.
