Summary
This is how it all began?the terrible civil strife that devastates our world!

In this society, extreme conflict exists between pedestrians and drivers. The story begins with an elderly woman shooting her gun while trying to get hit by her car in a crosswalk.
This incident led to the spread of violence between pedestrians and drivers. The government arranges negotiations between representatives of both sides and creates new rules.
The new rules include restricting firearms for pedestrians, requiring drivers to honk their horns and adjusting murder ratings. The government takes measures such as enforcing this and administering sedatives.
Eventually, peace is restored on the surface, but the root cause of the conflict is not resolved. The main character, Smythe-de-Winter, returns to normal life, but still feels the desire for violence... .
