Summary
He went where no Martian ever went before?but would he come out?or had he gone for good?

A professor invites a Martian visiting Earth to his home. The Martian wants to go to the bathroom, and the professor's wife tells him the location. But when the Martian doesn't come out for a long time, the professor and his family start to worry.
They wonder what the Martian is doing in the bathroom and make various guesses. The professor's son looks through the window and discovers the Martian lying in the bathtub.
After waiting all night, the Martian comes out in the morning. The Martian explains that he thought he was sleeping in a bathtub like the Earthlings saw on TV. He feels sorry that he seems to have taken up the professor's family's only 'wet bed'.
The professor gently smooths over the situation, explaining that the vigil was a 'guard of honor' for the Martians.
