¡®LATUS¡¯ is a modernized Chess game series designed so that flank and rear attacks can be applied as the main victory
and defeat principles, just like in actual battles. Latus means flank in Latin. In battle, the flank mainly refers to the area
on both sides of the unit where defense is relatively relaxed due to the concentration of combat power at the front of
the attack in unit placement during battle.

¡®Latus-Main Battlefield¡¯ is the first game in the Latus series and is a Chess game that simplifies the form of battle in
Europe from the 17th to 19th centuries.

This book explains the game rules of ¡®Latus-Main battlefield¡¯.
