This coursebook aims to develop learners’ reading skills through various genres. It consists of five of the most common genres that learners will already have some degree of familiarity with. By introducing the concept of genre and the inherent characteristics that it possesses, it is hoped that learners will gain the ability to further their own reading by themselves using the generic features offered in the coursebook. As well as highlighting the features of various genres, the coursebook also includes a comprehensive overview of much needed language work such as grammar, vocabulary, and text comprehension.
