어느 날, 캐서린과 힌들리의 아빠는 히스클리프라는 고아 소년을 집에 데리고 와요. 캐서린과 히스클리프는 친해지지만, 힌들리는 히스클리프를 싫어해요. 몇 년 후, 힌들리가 가장이 되고 그는 히스클리프를 괴롭히고 하인 취급해요. 히스클리프는 캐서린이 다른 남자와 결혼한다는 사실을 알기 전까지 이 모든 것들을 참아요. 하지만 곧 그는 복수를 계획하며 떠나요.

One day, Catherine and Hindley’s father brings home an orphan boy, Heathcliff. Catherine and Heathcliff become very close, but Hindley hates the new boy. After some years, Hindley becomes the master of the house. He torments Heathcliff and makes him a servant. Heathcliff bears this until he hears Catherine will marry another man. Then Heathcliff runs away to plan his revenge.
