마음씨 착한 구디는 여동생 패니와 패니만을 사랑하는 부모와 함께 살고 있어요. 어느 날 거지 여인에게 친절을 베풀자 구디는 말 할 때마다 입에서 다이아몬드가 나오게 돼요. 패니도 구디처럼 되고 싶었지만 마음씨가 나빠서 그만 입에서 개구리가 나오는 저주에 걸리게 돼요. 집에서 쫓겨난 구디는 숲에서 왕자를 만나는데, 왕자는 나중에 구디와 결혼해서 둘은 행복하게 잘 살아요.

Goody has a bad mother. The mother likes Goody’s
sister more than Goody. But Goody is still kind and
always listens to her mother. One day, Goody meets an
old beggar woman. The old woman knows magic, and
she does a very nice thing for Goody. Then Goody’s
mother finds out. She wants the old woman to do a nice
thing for her other daughter, too.
