Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is one of Mark Twain¡¯s best-known and most important novels, which was first published in the United Kingdom in December 1884 and in the United States in February 1885.
The novel tells the story of Huckleberry Finn¡¯s escape from his alcoholic and abusive father and Huck¡¯s adventurous journey down the Mississippi River together with the runaway slave Jim.
Huck learns a variety of life lessons on the river that contribute to the growth of his character. He learns how to live away from society¡¯s demands and rules, but also learns the value of friendship, and values used to make decisions on what his heart tells him to do.
