¡°The Long Remembered Thunder¡± is a science fiction novel published in 1963 by Keith Laumer that tells the story of Tremaine, who returns to his hometown to find an illegal transmitter that is interfering with a secret super-wave project.
This novel depicts the main character, a scientist, who suspects a mysterious old man and searches for clues to the case. Clues hidden throughout the work arouse curiosity, raising expectations about how Tremaine will solve the case in the future.

Summary

Tremaine, a government researcher, is pressured by his boss, Fred, to find an illegal transmitter that is sabotaging the ultrasonic wave project. Tremaine, following a lead, estimates that the transmitter may be near his hometown of Elsby.
Arriving in Elsby, he goes to police chief Jess to ask for information. Jess raises the possibility that a mysterious old man, Bram, is the culprit, and tells him that a group of delinquent youths recently set fire to Bram's house.
Also, Bram is an old man with white hair, but he had a scandal in his youth with a woman named Linda Carroll, and it is explained that she is a mysterious figure who does not appear after the sun sets.
Meanwhile, Tremaine, who visited the city hall archives, bribes and confirms that Bram purchased the land in 1901, and the employee says that there is money buried in Bram's house and there are stories of ghosts... ...
