¡°The Frozen Planet¡± is a science fiction novel published in 1961 by Keith Laumer that depicts the activities of diplomat Retief against the invasion of the alien race Soetti.
This novel presents an exciting story in which the main character, a diplomat and special agent, heads to enemy territory on an important mission. As Retief has not yet arrived at his destination, anticipation is rising as to what kind of performance he will perform in the future.

Summary
Councilor Magnan relays information to Retief that the Soetti are attempting to occupy a borderland group called Jorgensen's Worlds by force. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs decides to dispatch Retief on a special mission to stop this.
Retief memorizes Soetti's war plans, defense strategies for the people of Jorgensen, and classified documents on converting anti-gravity fields into weapons, and sets off with the sealed documents. Magnan advises you to be very careful not to leak the mission.
Arriving on the planet Aldo Cerise, where the spaceship to his destination is located, Retief hears from the terminal staff that all seats for regular passengers have been canceled because of VIP passengers. Ignoring the grumbling staff, Retief heads to gate 19...
