Summary
They were two desperate scavengers in a no-man's land of radiation and death.

The main character, an unnamed male narrator, encounters a woman while traveling through a dangerous area called Deathland. The two spend the night together, despite being wary of each other.
The next morning, tensions rise between the two and they contemplate killing each other. But suddenly a small plane appears from the sky and lands near them.
