Summary

Jack is confused and tries to explain that it is 1953, but Mary cannot accept this. Jack leaves the island in a hurry.
Later, Jack meets the wife of his advisor, Martin Keserich, and asks her about Mary. Mrs. Kesserich explains that Mary was the fiancee of Professor Kesserich, who died in an accident in 1933... .
