Dracula's Guest by Bram Stoker is an early 20th-century collection of short stories, regarded as a continuation of his famous novel Dracula. It includes previously unpublished chapters along with several stories filled with supernatural and eerie atmospheres, expanding on the horror themes found in Dracula. The main story follows an unnamed English protagonist who unwittingly embarks on a chilling adventure linked to the ominous traditions of Walpurgis Night. In the opening scene, the protagonist prepares to take a carriage ride from Munich, despite the warnings of his driver, Johann, to return before the supernatural dangers of Walpurgis Night arrive. Ignoring this caution, the protagonist chooses to explore a lesser-known path that leads him into a desolate and eerie area. There, he encounters scenes reminiscent of classic horror imagery, such as graveyards, storms, and a mysterious figure entombed within a crypt. These elements create a surreal, unsettling atmosphere that hints at the existential horror awaiting him.
